Ojibway elders have passed down the prophecies of the seven fires made many years ago. These prophecies (or Fires) came during a time of peace to people living in the north eastern coast of North America. Each of these referred to an era that would come in the future.

The first prophet told the people that they would find new land on a “turtle-shaped island” that would mark the start of the journey. He warned that if the people did not move, they would be destroyed.

I urge you to think on which path you will take. Will you take the path that respects nature, elders, and your community, or will you choose the path of a fast world that is concerned about the newest model of technology.
